Mountain environments are vulnerable to climate change where the lives and livelihoods are directly impacted. Climate change contributes to the frequency and magnitude of extreme weather events and natural hazards. This ultimately leads to economic losses, food insecurity, loss of biodiversity, losses to water resources, habitat destruction and increased poverty. Nepal is ranked 4th vulnerable to climate change to world. Thus we are conducting different activities and researches so as to reduce the impacts of climate change and increase adaptation. Some activities carried are raising awareness to publics, educating school children, conducting researches, promoting traditional knowledge and climate friendly lifestyles. Climate change is interrelated to other various sectors. Thus the work conducted for this cause will have benefits in other sector as well.
